NVI, LLC dba Nondestructive and Visual Inspection announced today that James Cloutier, President & CEO, plans to retire from day-to-day operations of NVI at the end of 2022. The Board of Directors has unanimously appointed Joshua Luft, NVI’s current Chief Administrative Officer, to succeed Cloutier on January 1st, 2023. Post transition, Cloutier will remain affiliated with NVI and serve as Board Chairman.
“On behalf of NVI’s management team and over 400 employees, we want to thank Jim for his leadership of almost two decades with NVI. Jim is NVI’s founder, and it is his decisions that have shaped the company we operate today, and the foundation of NVI’s bright future,” said Mark Zeringue, NVI’s Executive Vice President. “Jim’s contagious knack for organic growth and desire for unrivaled customer satisfaction will undoubtably remain embedded in the organization for the benefit of future generations.”
Post transition, Cloutier will remain affiliated with NVI and serve as Board Chairman.
Josh’s promotion to Chief Executive Officer was a natural choice and part of the
Long term planning by NVI’s board of directors.
“With a world class leadership team, a broad customer base, and a strong balance sheet, NVI is well positioned for this transition,” said Cloutier. “For the past 18 years, Josh has been there: navigating through difficulties; building our foundation; and capitalizing on opportunities which have brought about the success of our business, our team members, and the communities in which we are honored to be a part of.”
Leading up to the official transition date, Cloutier and Luft are working together with internal department leaders to provide clarity on the details of how the transition of leadership will take place.
“It is my sincere and heartfelt honor to have served NVI as its Chief Executive. I would like to thank each and every team member now or in the past whose efforts have
contributed to our great company. Without your efforts, our strength and recognition as the leading value creator in inspection and testing would not have been realized,” added Cloutier. “I have worked with Josh for many years and have witnessed his strong leadership capacity. The next generation of clients and team members are sure to succeed under his direction.”
Beginning his career with NVI at the early age of 21 in 2005, Luft has worked alongside virtually every department and division leader where he has gained a deep understanding of and has driven NVI’s unique culture and business practices that has led to industry success. Aside from his industry certifications in pipeline construction, quality management, and environmental quality, he possesses an MBA and is an Executive Advisory Board Member of Nicholls State University’s College of Business.
“I want to thank Mr. Jim Cloutier for his unparalleled leadership and imaginative vision that built the company that is so very much an integral part of my life. I am sure that our team members and their families echo the remark, “said Luft. “It is my great honor, pleasure, and responsibility to accept the position. Together, with the help of our great team members, we will continue to drive customer value and build a legacy of continued growth.”
