EV is part of the prestigious Enersol Energy Solutions company portfolio and is known for its innovative PigCAM® inline visual assessment technology.
The purpose of this collaboration is to provide an expanded offering for PigCAM® by enabling inspection of lines that were previously impossible to visualize, due to the speed that PigCAM® needs to travel for optimum image resolution. In instances where operators can’t reduce the flow, the incorporation of the Active Speed Control Pig (SCP) from INLINE Services allows operators to utilize PigCAM® for visual inspection.
The Active Speed Control Pig (SCP) actively regulates its own speed, traveling within operator defined speed parameters. Initially designed for high-flow natural-gas pipelines the SCP is essentially used as a driver for the PigCAM® visual inspection tool prior to ILI inspections such as MFL, Ultrasonic, and EMAT. The PigCAM® utilizes four or eight high-resolution cameras that provide operators with 360° visual access to pipeline interiors. EV’s advanced Visual Analytics provides operators with a clear understanding of pipeline conditions and is complimentary to ILI data sets. This level of visibility helps to identify residual material and features of interest that otherwise could go unnoticed.
This partnership presents opportunity for both parties with new opportunities for INLINE Services internationally and PigCAM® can now inspect lines that were previously considered less than ideal conditions.
