As Vice President of Broadcasting, he oversees and appears on HoustonTexans.com, Texans Radio on Sports Radio 610 AM, and the team’s television programming.\nBefore joining the Texans, Vandermeer served as the play-by-play voice for the Miami Hurricanes, calling both football and baseball national championship teams in 2001. His broadcasting career also includes play-by-play roles at the University of Massachusetts, where he covered the school’s Final Four basketball appearance and Division I-AA football championship, as well as Central Michigan University.
