About the Speaker

Jared Ware is a Systems Analyst and Senior Engineer at the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC), where he works on special projects related to geothermal energy, Class V and VI well permitting, and lithium and brine mining activities. He previously directed the RRC’s Critical Infrastructure Division and served as Director of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality’s (TCEQ) Program Support and Environmental Assistance Division (PSEAD).

Jared has also served at Army Futures Command in Austin, Texas, where he was the organization’s Chief Installation, Energy, and Environmental Engineer. His distinguished career includes more than two decades with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), with assignments as a Battalion Commander, Senior Engineer for the 82nd Airborne Division, and Assistant Professor of
Geospatial Information Science at the United States Military Academy at West Point.

He is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP), a Certified Energy Manager, and a member of Gamma Theta Upsilon, the international geographic honor society.
