Join the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Section (SPE-GCS) for the 26th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament and the 13th Annual Food Frenzy Competition — a premier networking and fundraising event supporting SPE student scholarships.

Whether you are an experienced shooter or new to the sport, this annual tradition offers an exciting day of friendly competition, outdoor recreation, networking, and industry camaraderie. Participants will enjoy one of Houston’s premier sporting clays venues while connecting with colleagues, clients, and fellow energy professionals.

In addition to the tournament, attendees can experience the highly anticipated Food Frenzy Competition, where competitors serve up breakfast, lunch, drinks, and entertainment for participants throughout the day.

Important Registration Information

  • Ammunition is included for 12 and 20 gauge shotguns
  • Participants bringing their own ammunition must use No. 7-1/2, 8, or 9 shot only
  • Please include all team members’ email addresses during registration to receive important tournament communications
  • Sponsors and supporters will receive first consideration for preferred course selection

Food Frenzy Competition

The Food Frenzy Competition returns for its 13th year, bringing together creative teams serving food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the event. Each shooter receives a poker chip to vote for their favorite competitor, with the winning team receiving a commemorative trophy.

Cancellation Policy

Registration and payment must be completed in full to guarantee attendance. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 48 hours of the event. Substitutions within the same organization and calendar year will be honored.
