As we step into the New Year, SAPA is excited to welcome Thomas Kalb as the featured speaker for our January luncheon. With a distinguished career spanning 44 years in the oil and gas industry, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share.

Currently serving as the Director of Midstream Research at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC), Thomas will present on The Coastal Bend Midstream Program (CBMP) and explore the Top Ten Issues Facing the Midstream Industry. With a blend of academic innovation and industry experience, his talk promises to provide a comprehensive outlook on the challenges and opportunities shaping the midstream industry.

Thomas’s impressive career includes 33 years as an institutional investor and corporate finance advisor for oil and gas businesses, as well as seven years as a petroleum engineer. He was instrumental in launching the oil and gas investment arms of GE Capital, AIG Financial Products, and Freepoint Commodities, and most recently led Lamar University’s Midstream Center from concept to a thriving program.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (BSc in Petroleum Engineering) and the University of Chicago (MBA in Finance), Thomas combines technical knowledge with financial acumen.
