Now he’s set to motivate GPA Midstream 2024 Convention attendees about overcoming obstacles, embracing change, thinking bigger and leading innovation.

Samit is the keynote speaker for the association’s annual signature event, and will deliver his address at the Center Stage Luncheon on Monday, Sept. 23, in San Antonio.

An international bestselling author and leading expert on disruption and innovation, Samit has been at the forefront of global trends for over three decades. Among his long list of clients are American Express, AT&T, Best Buy, Clinique, Coca Cola, Disney, Ford, GE, Intel, McDonalds, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble, Starbucks, Unilever, Zynga and dozens more.

Samit’s presentations are known for being high-energy and entertaining, and focused on employee empowerment, loyalty, change and innovation. He speaks on subjects from future proofing to AI.

“Disruption isn’t about what happens to you; it’s about how you respond to what happens to you,” Samit said. “As old-world jobs are disappearing, tons of new opportunities are emerging. So, you have a great opportunity to forge your own path, make your own name. The choice is always up to you. The positive of technology is we can solve real major problems. So, teach people how to seek out information. At every level, you can make a difference. And making that difference will make you happy.”

“We’re thrilled to have Jay Samit as our convention keynote speaker this year,” said GPA Midstream President and CEO Joel Moxley. “We had him scheduled for our 2020 conference, but it was ‘disrupted,’ cancelled, due to COVID-19. Much has changed since then on the technology front, so we’re excited to have his newest perspectives on disruption, AI and more at this year’s event. Don’t miss it.”
