POWER’s summer-long employee fundraising initiative — part of the company’s Power For Good — supports families impacted by childhood cancer
CHESTER, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Power Home Remodeling (“POWER”), the nation’s largest, full-service exterior home remodeler, announced that employees across the country have raised a record $2.26 million in donations for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures for childhood cancer.
The total donation was entirely raised by employees of their own volition through payroll contributions, lemonade stands, kickball tournaments, auctions, and more employee engagement events throughout the summer.
“The donations we’ve made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation have changed the lives of so many, but this organization has also made a huge impact on us. So much so, that ALSF’s mission has become intertwined with our POWER identity,” said POWER’s Co-Founder, Adam Kaliner. “We’re not just giving dollars and cents, we’re providing hope, comfort, and support for those fighting against the unthinkable. Our POWER community continues to set a benchmark in the level of care we show for others, and that simply will never falter.”
Over the lifetime of the partnership, total contributions to ALSF have now surpassed more than $9.86 million. All donations go towards the company’s “Power The Cure” fund, which supports various ALSF innovative therapy grants that take a novel and promising approach to finding cures for childhood cancers. The “Power The Cure” Fund will help hundreds of children – many with their last chance of survival – be able to enroll in the most innovative and targeted treatments available.
“The commitment and passion the employees at POWER show each year by donating, raising awareness and supporting families is truly unique. They continue to go above and beyond to support this community,” said Liz Scott, Co-Executive Director of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation & Alex’s Mom. “We are so thankful to be partners with POWER and to have such a dedicated company joining us in the fight.”

About Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric research projects across the globe and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer.
