Talent From the Upcoming Adventure Film Took Part In Meet-and-Greets with Young Patients Supported By The Ryan Seacrest Foundation

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The cast of the highly anticipated spooky adventure film Monster Summer collaborated with the Ryan Seacrest Foundation (RSF), via their Seacrest Studios, for an exciting opportunity to inspire and entertain young hospital patients. The foundation is dedicated to uplifting pediatric patients through creative programming in state-of-the-art broadcast media centers, called Seacrest Studios. RSF invited cast members Abby James Witherspoon, Lilah Pate, Julian Lerner, and Noah Cottrell to their Seacrest Studio at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) to discuss their upcoming film. Broadcasted throughout the hospital via CCTV, the on-air Q&A discussion was led by studio staff and patients, which included brief games and short video clips featuring some of the talent and the trailer shared during the session.

There was also a meet-and-greet, allowing the cast to take photos and sign autographs with patients at the hospital. Connecting with the kids, sharing stories, and engaging in lighthearted conversations marked a memorable experience for the actors and children.

“We are grateful for collaborative opportunities like this one,” said Meredith Seacrest Leach, Executive Director and COO of RSF. “Many of these patients may not have the opportunity to go and see this film in theaters, so the opportunity to screen the film and meet some of the stars makes for a truly special experience.”

In collaboration with RSF, Monster Summer will be screened across 12 hospital locations, including New York, Georgia, Tennessee, Dallas, and more. These screenings will be available in various formats, ensuring that patients can enjoy the film in common areas like Seacrest Studios, or through personal devices in their hospital rooms. By offering high-quality opportunities like this one, RSF aims to create joyful moments that connect young patients to the outside world, inspiring creativity and imagination during their treatment.

Monster Summer, set to release this Friday, also stars Mason Thames and Mel Gibson and serves as the second film directed by actor David Henrie since This is the Year. Today, in anticipation of the release, the movie also shared a thrilling sneak peek clip starring Thames and will also post an exclusive clip that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the cast.

Dan McDonough and John Blanford, Co-Founders of Pastime Pictures and producers of Monster Summer, commented, “Monster Summer is a wholesome movie for families that also inspires everyone to confront their own monsters. Through this film, we aim to uplift and turn fear into courage and foster hope through our shared journey.”
