About the Course
Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) invites pipeline professionals to its two-day Practical Pipeline Repair Training course, designed to strengthen repair knowledge through expert instruction and interactive, scenario-based learning.
Led by Melissa Gould, Principal Engineer in the Welding Technology group at DNV, the course examines non-routine repair challenges, including situations involving wetlands, bends, and slopes. Participants will work through practical repair scenarios, discuss different approaches with the instructor and fellow professionals, and apply guidance from the PRCI Pipeline Repair Manual to complex situations.
The training combines interactive classroom discussions with group-based exercises to help participants build confidence in evaluating repair scenarios and applying established pipeline repair guidance.

Who Should Attend?

Participants should have a basic understanding of pipeline operations and maintenance.
Prerequisites and Required Materials
- Required material: Participants must have their own copy of the PRCI Pipeline Repair Manual, 2021 Edition (PR-186-204504-R01).
- Recommended prior training: PRCI Fundamentals of Pipeline Repair Training, which provides a useful foundation for the practical course.
- Safety equipment: Hardhats and safety glasses are required. Participants may bring their own or borrow equipment provided at the training location.

- PRCI Member Rate: $1,500
- Non-Member Rate: $2,000
- Class Size: Minimum of 10 and maximum of 30 participants
